MiraProof (the “Service”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Service collects and how it is handled.
Information we collect
The Service collects only the minimum information needed to operate. This includes an anonymous identifier issued when you use the app, the questions you submit, the results you save or bookmark, and the device token required to send notifications.
If you sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides. If you choose Apple’s private relay options, we do not receive your real name or email address.
The Service is not designed to upload device-local data such as your photos, contacts, or health records.
How we use information
We use the information to generate answers, store and re-display your results, send updates, and improve the quality of the Service.
Submitted questions may be used to improve answer accuracy and to consider which common questions to turn into articles. In doing so, we aggregate the data so that individuals cannot be identified.
Sharing with third parties
Except as required by law, we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent.
To generate answers, the Service uses research databases (such as PubMed, Europe PMC, and OpenAlex) and external services for cloud infrastructure and notification delivery. Such processing is limited to what is necessary to operate the Service.
Data retention and deletion
We retain saved history and account information for as long as needed to provide the Service. To request deletion of your account and related data, contact us at hello@miraproof.com.
Upon a deletion request, we delete the data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Analytics
The Service may collect access logs and anonymous usage statistics to understand usage and improve the Service. These are not used to identify individuals.
If we introduce an analytics tool that requires consent, we will update this policy and provide the necessary consent mechanism at that time.
